Who we are

Definitive Water Technologies (registration 2009/137701/23) operates this website as a trade catalogue and quotation service for water treatment components, with branches in Cape Town and Johannesburg. This notice describes how we handle personal information under the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).

What we collect, and why

The catalogue is browsable without providing any personal information. We collect personal information only when you submit it — through the quote request form (name, company, email address, phone number, and the contents of your enquiry) or by contacting a branch directly. We use it for one purpose: responding to your enquiry with pricing, availability and technical advice, and administering any resulting business relationship.

What we do not do

• We do not sell, rent or share your information with third parties for their marketing.
• We do not add you to marketing lists without your consent — submitting a quote request subscribes you to nothing.
• This website sets no advertising or analytics tracking cookies. Only cookies strictly necessary for site operation (such as administrator sign-in) are used.

Storage and security

Quote requests are stored in access-controlled systems available only to DWT staff who handle enquiries. We retain enquiry records for as long as needed to serve the business relationship and to meet legal record-keeping requirements, after which they are deleted.

Your rights

Under POPIA you may request access to the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we have no ongoing lawful basis to keep it. Send requests to sales@definitivewater.co.za and we will respond within a reasonable time. If you believe we have mishandled your information, you may lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator (South Africa).
