How to read a DWT model code

DWT SKUs encode family, size and variant so that visually similar products are never ambiguous on an order. OEM lines (for example DuPont FilmTec elements and Runxin valves) keep their manufacturer codes — the manufacturer code is the SKU.

Filter housings

Prefix
HS
Pattern
HS {length} [colour] [BB] {port}
Example
HS20BB1
Reading
20" Big Blue (4") housing with a 1" port. The length (typically 10 or 20) follows the HS prefix; the colour letter is W = white, C = clear, B = blue — no colour letter means the housing comes in one colour only (Big Blues are blue-only, hence no letter here); BB marks a 4" (Big Blue) housing, slimline (2.5") housings carry no BB; the final number is the port size in inches — so HS10W1/4 is a 10" slimline, white, with a 1/4" port.

Filter cartridges

Prefix
MBS / SWS / PL / GAC / CB
Pattern
{type} {length} [BB] [M{micron}]
Example
MBS10M5
Reading
10" melt-blown sediment cartridge, 5 micron. Types: MBS = melt-blown (PP) sediment, SWS = string-wound sediment, PL = pleated sediment, GAC = granular activated carbon (UDF — loose carbon in a shell), CB = carbon block (CTO). The length (5, 10, 20, 30 or 40) follows the type; BB marks a 4" (Big Blue / jumbo) diameter; on sediment cartridges the M and a number give the micron rating (M5, M10, M20…).

Membrane pressure vessels

Prefix
HS
Pattern
HS {element size}
Example
HS4040
Reading
Vessel for a 4040 (4" x 40") membrane element. The element size follows the HS prefix: 1812, 3012, 4040 and so on.

FRP media vessels

Prefix
FRP
Pattern
FRP {size} -{top port} [-{bottom port}]
Example
FRP2472-4-4
Reading
24" x 72" FRP vessel with a 4" top port and a 4" bottom port. The size designation (1054, 1354, 1665, 2472…) follows the FRP prefix, then the top-port size in inches (typically 2.5, 4 or 6). Most vessels have only a top port; where a bottom port exists its size is the second number.

UV systems and spares

Prefix
UV
Pattern
UV {wattage} {type}
Example
UV55B
Reading
55 W UV replacement bulb. The wattage follows the UV prefix; the letter after it says what the item is: W = complete UV system (UV55W), B = bulb, Q = quartz sleeve, BA = ballast.

Dosing pumps, valves and fittings, and filtration media carry no DWT coding convention — they are ordered under their supplier or OEM codes as listed in the catalogue.
